Happiness centre opens at hospital
A ‘Happiness Centre’ has opened for business at Latifa Hospital in Dubai. According to a report by national news agency WAM, the centre has started receiving customers and aims to ensure their satisfaction by simplifying the number of services they have to deal with. The centre was inaugurated this week by Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The services provided at the Happiness Centre include issuing of birth certificates, health cards, medical reports, appointment registration and booking, pharmaceutical services and registration of newborns in collaboration with the Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs. “The concept of happiness that is adopted by UAE and Dubai in specific represents one of the primary performance indicators of DHA. To achieve customer satisfaction and happiness DHA has been developing its facilities, staff capabilities and services,” he said. The UAE government appointed a Minister for Happiness earlier this year as happy people “produce more, live longer, and drive better economic development”.
