When told about the two-car trick, road safety expert Robert Hodges said that if it’s legal then it’s a smart move. “It’s a smart and clever idea by the drivers to avoid traffic,” said the chief operating officer of Emirates Driving Institute. “They just need to be careful while crossing the road to reach their cars.” Hodges added that motorists who are stuck in traffic for hours can get frustrated and cause accidents. “It’s a natural reaction to be angry while driving after hours in traffic,” he said. “Motorists can be close to exploding on the roads and end up making quick lane changes, wrong decisions and cause accidents. The best way is to sit in the lane and take your time and stay in the traffic’s flow.”
