Thrills and chills

Veathika Jain visits IMG Worlds of Adventure Dubai on its opening day

7 Days in Dubai - - NEWS -

The world’s largest indoor theme park - IMG Worlds of Adventure Dubai - opened its doors to the public yesterday. We went along to check it out… THRILLING FIRST RIDE

The Thor Thunder Spin is not one for the kids. The ride spins 360 degrees, clockwise and anti-clockwise, with a few seconds of one being suspended in the air upside down. A big thumbs up. TAKING THE PLUNGE

Adults can go on all rides, but I would say there are four main ones. Thor, Dococo’s, Predator and Velociraptor.

An outdoor roller coaster ride, Velociraptor - runs at 100kph and has a few big drops, turns and spins. This 116-second ride is perfect for a thrillseeker like me.

My next stop was the indoor roller coaster, Predator, and I must say after Thor and Velociraptor, this was a baby ride.

Apart from one big drop, there wasn’t much of an adventure. I suggest to do this one before you try the outdoor roller coaster.

Another adult adventure is the Haunted Hotel, where actors dress up and scare the visitors. The eight-minute experience is quite spooky. I looked at some of the people coming out of the hotel with white faces. I was not up for this experience, but if you don’t get scared then give it a go.
