Long week­end is an­nounced for Eid

There will be a three-day pri­vate sec­tor hol­i­day for Eid Al Adha in the UAE, it was an­nounced yes­ter­day. The Min­istry of Hu­man Re­source said in a state­ment: “Eid Al Adha hol­i­days for the pri­vate sec­tor will be for three days, start­ing on Sun­day, Septem­ber 11 to Tues­day, Septem­ber 13.” Ear­lier yes­ter­day, HH Sheikh Mo­hammed bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, Vice Pres­i­dent and Prime Min­is­ter of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also an­nounced dates for the pub­lic sec­tor. Sheikh Mo­hammed tweeted: “Sun­day, Septem­ber 11 will be the first day of the hol­i­day. Pub­lic sec­tor will re­sume work on Sun­day, Septem­ber 18.” On Fri­day, Saudi Ara­bia said the first day of Eid Al Adha will be Mon­day, Septem­ber 12.
