Henry Cav­ill’s “back-up plan” was to be a sol­dier. The Bat­man v Su­per­man: Dawn of Jus­tice star ad­mits he would have joined the Bri­tish Armed Forces if act­ing hadn’t worked for him. He told Men’s Fit­ness mag­a­zine: “Thank­fully at this stage I’ve got my foot in the door enough that if some­one tried to slam it shut, I could prob­a­bly squeeze a lit­tle bit and keep the door open. “As far as a full back-up plan, it was the Bri­tish Armed Forces. But be­ing 33-years-old I think I’m too old to join now.” The ac­tor pre­vi­ously ad­mit­ted he con­sid­ered quit­ting act­ing. He shared: “There were plenty of times I thought it wouldn’t hap­pen. At one stage I was like, ‘If this next movie doesn’t do well then I’m out, I’m go­ing to join the Armed Forces’.”
