Dear drivers, check your blind spots, save us all

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS -

Coming from a country that adheres to K53 defensive driving techniques from the time you start to learn to drive, it is so frustrating driving merrily on your way to your next destination when you almost get side swiped by the car next to you simply because the driver doesn’t bother to check their blind spots when changing lanes! Makes you wonder if licenses are earned or bought here with so many drivers making the same mistake. Having literally just encountered this on my way home, I would like to thank the fellow driver who tried to overtake someone without checking his blind spot, on a corner no less, for almost clipping me at high speeds and then still giving me grief about it when I called him out on his wrongdoing. Acknowledgement or apology for mistakes are suffice. Thanks Annoyed Dubai
