The Halo singer turned 35 on Sunday and her fellow Destiny’s Child singer decided to splash out when it came to presents for her best pal.

Kelly told E! News: “Well, diamonds are a girl’s best friend. I got her diamonds.”

The pair spent Beyonce’s special day hanging out at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia, which was set up by her husband Jay Z.

The festival featured performances from acts such as Coldplay and DJ Khaled, and the Motivation singer said she was “super excited” to watch them all perform.

She said: “I am super excited to be here and hear all the artists. Chance the Rapper should be great to hear.

“We are all going to be celebrating this festival and Beyonce’s birthday. We are all going to be together. I am getting ready to see her now.”

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin – who worked with the beauty on Hymn For The Weekend – said during his performance at the festival: “We want to say happy birthday to Mrs Carter who is out here somewhere.

“Can you believe she is 107 years old? Happy birthday Bey.”
