HOW TO... MANAGE THE KIDS
If you want to maintain a modicum of control, take advice from Devika Mankani, chief positive psychologist at Fortes Education
I always recommend the 90-minute rule for short holidays when it comes to bed time. When on holiday, allow about 90 minutes of flexibility when it comes to wake-up or go-sleep time, but be watchful not to exceed that.
If you would like to offer your children something really special, why not use this event as an opportunity to teach value by talking about gratitude, trust and action.
When kids don’t get along or cause trouble, make it a point to have three conversations with them. Outline your expectations of unwanted behaviour and talk about the consequences of both wanted and unwanted behaviour.
