Can someone explain why road layout was changed

7 Days in Dubai - - WELLBEING -

I wonder if 7DAYS could get an answer from Emaar or the RTA on the inexplicable changes that have been made to the traffic system around Emaar Square. Since the change it has become a virtual nightmare to get in or out of the area with rush hours grinding to a standstill. It took me 45 minutes just to leave the car park last night. As I write this at 12.50pm I can see bumper to bumper traffic that has now brought surrounding downtown areas to a standstill with people abandoning cars! I was prepared to wait to see what the final design looked like in the hope that it would be better than what was previously in place – however they appear to be reducing entrances and exits as well as closing lanes in the road by paving them over!! Come on – Dubai’s traffic is bad enough without inventing ways to make it worse. GR Dubai the rubbish and mess people left behind after they enjoyed a day out. Come on people, we are in 2016, cigarette butts should not be part of sandcastle decorations. As a general rule, if you eat from it, drink from it, smoke from it or even wear it, take it home with you or try putting it in the bin when you are done. The cleaners were doing a fantastic job on the beach, but they are NOT your personal slaves. Responsible beach goer Dubai
