FC BRUGGE BOSS ‘WORRIED’ AFTER SHAKY START
Belgian titleholders FC Brugge, who are competing in the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time since 2005/06, have had a similarly poor start to this campaign as Leicester. A 1-0 defeat at the weekend was their third of the season. Boss Michel Preud’homme said he is “worried” but says his players “can do it, we know that”.
Brugge struggled in the Europa League last season, losing at home to Napoli and FC Midtjylland as they finished third in their group.
Brugge lost to Manchester United in last season’s Champions League play-offs.
Their overall home record against English sides is W6 D2 L2.
