JONES: LIONS MUST TAKE LARGE ENGLAND QUOTA

7 Days in Dubai - - SPORT -

Eddie Jones expects a large contingent from England to make the British and Irish Lions squad for next year’s tour of New Zealand. England have enjoyed plenty of success under Jones, winning the Six Nations and securing a thumping 3-0 series win in Australia. They next face Tests against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia in November and Jones expects his players and coaches to force their way into Warren Gatland’s Lions squad. “I would be disappointed if we did not get at least 15 players on the Lions tour and hopefully get one or two of our coaches on the coaching staff,” said Jones. “That is ultimately Warren’s decision, but if we do a good job - particularly in the November Tests and Six Nations - then we should be rewarded with at least 15 spots.”
