Fire rescue is one for the books
A writer dashed past firefighters into this burning New Orleans house to rescue two completed novels stored on his laptop. Gideon Hodge, 35, told The New Orleans Advocate in the US, why he made the fire dash. He said: “Anybody that’s ever created art, there’s no replacing that. It’s got pretty much my life’s work.” The fire spread to the house where Hodge lived from an empty house next door, where firefighters believe it started.
