There are still a few of us who know how to drive

7 Days in Dubai - - PUZZLES -

Simon, I agree with many of the points you make in your missive (Soapbox, September 15), particularly when we can all improve our driving, unfortunately what comes across loud and clear is you appear to drive like most everyone else, disrespecting driving standards and driver ethics. This on the premise you came to these lovely shores with some semblance of driving skills... What you also do is to typecast drivers saying we all drive like each other... this is absolutely not true – from experience, a small percentage of drivers still maintaining driving skills, driver etiquette and the age old practice of anticipating what the mindless morons (drivers???) do, albeit extremely difficult with the plethora of unskilled blithering idiots we face on a daily basis. You are correct in that this sadly is something which will not happen, hence please try to drive with a little more patience and decorum instead of joining the masses, I know it’s difficult...
