Survey finds low pay is the biggest cause of stress for employees in MENA

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS -

“A big problem is that as the cost of life in Dubai inflates so too should the salaries, but they don’t. Rent keeps going up despite all the news saying that rent is going to decrease. Food is expensive here as well, I mean I saw a guy spend Dhs1,000 in Geant yesterday and he barely had half a trolley!!!!!”

TOM JOYNES

“There are no problems here with low pay that you wouldn’t find anywhere else in the world. The problems are with unequal distribution of pay leading to feelings of inequality and disrespect.”

LISA KERELIUK

“Very simple, pack up and head home to a “better life” stress free and stop whining!”

FAVY SIASI

“Cost of rent and living. Wages not increasing to keep pace with other cost increases. No recognition of loyalty and added value of retained staff vs new hired staff.”

LUCY HIVES

“Low pay .... We are all on low pay compared to dubai runaway prices.”
