Are nurses taking on the responsibilities of doctors?

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS... -

Is it just me or are other patients experiencing the deteriorating service of our doctors? We understand a lot of you are busy but we paid you or our insurance paid you dearly to provide us some care. But often a nurse or perhaps even a hospital or clinic employee spent time getting information from us, even asking some of the very sensitive questions from us that we only feel comfortable to disclose to a doctor. The waiting time to see a doctor is often 30 minutes, or an hour or more. Don’t get me wrong, I admire and appreciate the excellent work of many nurses here in Dubai who provide care for us. But why is it that doctors passing all their responsibilities to these nurses? I will not be surprised if one day a nurse will tell me I have a terminal disease and she need to operate on me while my doctor is busy with other patient. Doctors please don’t forget your word and advice are even more powerful than drugs. Armina UAE
