Tributes for footballer killed in car crash
A footballer died in a car crash as he drove to training, writes Ali Al Shouk. Emirati Abdullah Mohammed Al Baloushi, 21, was on the way to Hatta Club when the accident happened outside Hatta city on Saturday. The club tweeted: “Rest in peace Abdullah Mohammed Al Baloushi. Our condolences to his family. God have mercy on his soul.” His family buried him in Kalba on the same day as the crash. The cause of the accident was not stated. Abdullah joined the team this season and played just two matches for the under-21 side. Sharjah FC also tweeted: “We express our condolence to Hatta Club and the family of Abdullah for their loss.” Players will wear black arm bands at their next match in the Arabic Gulf Cup.
