‘Half my salary is spent paying off parking fines’

7 Days in Dubai - - COMMUNITY -

I am a resident of International City. Besides having my own apartment, I have to take another unit for my parents. What I couldn’t believe until this very moment was that I can’t make an important appointment after 6pm on any day for the reason I won’t be able to get a legal parking spot for my car not unless I drive around searching for an hour or so. And the worst part of it all, if I get to park my car somewhere that is not blocking anyone’s car or the way out or even the way in, police are always ready to provide a ticket as they think parking that way is still illegal. Something has to be done here at least a consideration of not getting a fine every day will really help people like met who work a 12-shift and get paid just to pay fines, almost half of my salary each month.
