A teenage prostitute claims she was made to sleep with men by an aunt who promised to help pay for life-saving surgery for the girl’s father.

The 15-year-old Pakistani told Dubai Court of First Instance she came to Dubai to work but had no idea it would be as a prostitute.

The girl, named Samira, said: “My mother died a long time ago and in 2015 my father had a stroke and doctors said that he needs surgery costing Dhs80,000. We are poor people and can’t afford such an amount of money.”

Her aunt works in Dubai and the girl claims she asked her to come to work. Samira and her father arrived in Dubai in January 2016 and the aunt took them to a hotel, where she told them that Samira would work in prostitution.

“My father refused and we stayed for a few days but my aunt managed to get him deported, I don’t know how,” Samira said. “I stayed alone with her and started working in prostitution.

“My aunt and two other men used to take me to different By Ali Al Shouk hotels to meet customers.”

She said they forced her to work even when she was sick.

Prosecutors said that, on July 1, Dubai Police got a tip-off about the girl and sent in an undercover policeman posing as customer.

One of the suspects, a 36- year-old Indian man, arrived at a hotel with the girl and was arrested. The aunt and the other suspect are still at large.

The arrested man denies human trafficking. The trial has been adjourned.
