Tony Bellew continued his war of words with fellow Briton David Haye after delivering a crushing knockout of BJ Flores in Liverpool. The ‘Bomber’ became the first man to stop the American when he delivered a brutal lefthook in the third round to successfully defend his WBC cruiserweight title. Bellew then immediately charged towards Haye, who was sat ringside, and challenged him to a bout. “The last two guys you fought are working on nightclub doors, or they’re putting the bins out,” said Bellew. “With 10 ounce gloves on, I’ll put you and your pathetic haircut to sleep. Brother, I’m the biggest payday you’ve got right now.” Bellew then continued his war of words with Haye, tweeting: “The clock is ticking, stop fighting jokes and fight a real world champion.” Haye, meanwhile, believes he would easily beat Bellew if he steps up to heavyweight. He said: “If he wants to come up, it’s an easy night’s work. I’ll probably knock him out with a jab.”
