DUBAI RUGBY 7s LAUNCHES SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens launched its Partner Schools Programme with its first school visit to GEMS Royal Dubai School. More than 3,000 students from 15 schools across two emirates are expected to participate in the programme, which encourages involvement in the sport and gives advice on how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. The specially designed programme motivates children to get involved in rugby, promotes active lifestyles, encourages healthy living and learning about the various nations participating at this event. This is implemented through a range of academic and sporting activities at each school. The resources provided include the Schools’ Rugby Workbook, the Adopt A Nation exercise and the creative Design A Kit competition as well as the passing challenge with Sabaa the mascot.
