In re­sponse to “How can car park charge Dhs200 for over­stay­ing?”. As a clearly stated rule, it is to be fol­lowed, and if not, you will be ob­vi­ously fined. There is ab­so­lutely no ex­cuse for that. And it’s not just a mat­ter of a 2-3 minute de­lay. It’s 20 whole min­utes, which is ex­actly 1/3rd of a whole hour, and not just a tiny frac­tion of it. You have to look at it from their point of view also. 20 min­utes is very vi­tal in dayto-day oper­a­tions, even if it is for a small park­ing owner. They would not be able to re­ceive more cus­tomers (peo­ple park­ing their cars) if the park­ing area is filled with peo­ple’s cars over­stay­ing their 3-hour park­ing time.
