Paramedics: stay calm and be clear

Na­tional Am­bu­lance has urged res­i­dents to keep calm and safe while fac­ing med­i­cal emer­gen­cies and trau­mas. In the third and fi­nal video, ti­tled Be pre­pared, of its Ready and Re­spon­si­ble cam­paign, Na­tional Am­bu­lance high­lighted five steps to fol­low when en­coun­ter­ing an emer­gency which in­cludes: 1. Stay safe and calm. 2. Call 988 im­me­di­ately. 3. Iden­tify your lo­ca­tion as ac­cu­rately as pos­si­ble. 4. Pro­vide de­tails of the emer­gency and an­swer all of the ques­tions asked of you. 5. Lis­ten care­fully and fol­low first aid in­struc­tions un­til the am­bu­lance ar­rives. Na­tional Am­bu­lance Deputy CEO, Ahmed Saleh Al Ha­jeri also ad­vised all res­i­dents of the North­ern Emi­rates to down­load the NA 988 app to make it eas­ier to lo­cate the ex­act lo­ca­tion of the emer­gency. He said: “Our call to the com­mu­nity to be pre­pared re­mains. “We will con­tinue the con­ver­sa­tion to en­sure peo­ple are aware and pre­pared to act in times of emer­gen­cies. “Na­tional Am­bu­lance is com­mit­ted to the com­mu­nity in the North­ern Emi­rates; work­ing in har­mony in re­sponse to emer­gency sit­u­a­tions.”
