Drone operators must undergo proper training

7 Days in Dubai - - COMMUNITY -

On the matter of drone incursions close to controlled airspace in the UAE, it is unrealistic to expect an average user to understand the implications of entering such airspace. ‘Proper’ pilots have to pass exams in Aviation Law, which covers the various classifications of airspace (amongst other regulations). Whilst it is probably not feasible to introduce a formal licensing system for hobbyists, ultimate prevention can only mean prohibition for underage and ignorant adults until formal training has been undertaken. Easier said than done. Leonard Ince, UAE
