Kite Beach is lovely but could do with more toilets

7 Days in Dubai - - COMUNNITY -

I recently had a chance to visit the kite beach after a few years. And I must say the improvements provided by Dubai Municipality are truly impressive. There are several very nice cafes, a trampoline gym, plenty of umbrellas and loungers but lots of free space on the shore as well. The beach was clean and well maintained. The one thing which surprised me, however, was the beach still has the same small ladies room and the day I visited, only one toilet was working. The line was at least a dozen people long. Although there are terrific wheelchair access facilities on the beach, a young woman in a chair was still forced to wait endlessly for the wheelchair accessible toilet room to be opened. I hope there are more ladies rooms in the plan as this beach will be simply perfect when they are built. Sophie Dubai Arabic, English, Russian, French, Mandarin and Tagalog they would be so big that you’d end up driving in perpetual darkness and by the time you’d found the language you were looking for you’d either have missed your exit or driven into the back of the car in front.
