Emi­rates Trans­port (ET), the UAE’s govern­ment-owned trans­port ser­vice provider, has cel­e­brated a mile­stone for one of its ve­hi­cles – pass­ing the 1 mil­lion kilo­me­tre mark. The Toy­ota Coaster, sup­plied by Al Fut­taim Mo­tors, achieved the land­mark dis­tance in just seven years. Saud Yousif Al Ali, Head of Work­shop Sec­tion at Emi­rates Trans­port, said: “Our Toy­ota Coaster has been in op­er­a­tion since 2009, and has trav­elled more than one mil­lion kilo­me­tres across the UAE since that time, av­er­ag­ing more than 140,000 kilo­me­ters per year while trans­port­ing pas­sen­gers in the ut­most com­fort and safe con­di­tions. “As a mat­ter of fact, we have never had a ma­jor re­pair on this bus thanks to reg­u­lar ser­vice and main­te­nance car­ried at our auto work­shops.” Saud Ab­basi, Manag­ing Di­rec­tor of Toy­ota at Al Fut­taim Mo­tors, added: “In­tro­duced to the UAE mar­ket in 1980, the Toy­ota Coaster has be­come the go-to ve­hi­cle for large groups, adopted by many cor­po­ra­tions, thanks to its in­cred­i­ble dura­bil­ity, re­li­a­bil­ity and com­fort cre­den­tials.”
