Medium pacer Chad Soper became the first player from Papua New Guinea to claim a five-wicket haul in a List A game. His match haul of 6-41 helped his team win their second one-day international against Hong Kong by 14 runs. Both teams have won one game each in the three-match ODI series. Though the nation became an ICC member in 1973, they gained ODI and T20I status only in 2014. Papua New Guinea are the only team to have won their first two ODIs in international cricket.
