A swimming instructor has been accused of molesting a 14-year-old boy who was under his care. Abu Dhabi Criminal Court heard how the Lebanese manager of a private firm touched the teenage boy’s private parts as he gave him swimming lessons. Official documents stated that the man, an experienced swimmer, had a sports membership of a hotel in the capital. And when three teenage brothers, also Lebanese, registered with the hotel for swimming lessons, the man offered to teach them free of charge. The boys used to go for swimming once or twice a week, whenever the man was available and he trained them. Prosecutors said that one day, after swimming, one of the boys told his father that the man touched his private parts. “The boy’s father told the police after his son told him he was sexually abused by his swimming trainer,” said prosecutors. The defendant has denied the charges. The trial has been adjourned.
