Hygiene is one thing, but respect is something else

7 Days in Dubai - - DEAR 7DAYS -

Let’s get one thing straight people. Before we even consider the matters of hygiene and the offensiveness of unwashed bodies, the flouting of dress codes and the lack of basic common courtesy, think about exactly where you are. You live in the UAE, a Muslim country and you are duty bound to respect the culture and your Muslim hosts. Gym kit is for the gym, it is not for the Mall, the supermarket, the school run and definitely not for restaurants. When you bare your shoulders, knees and midriff it is offensive to the people that let you share their country and allow you to live here so comfortably. When you fail to dress appropriately you are being blatantly disrespectful. Apostrophiser Dubai
