Australian coach Darren Lehmann believes the recent criticism of his side is “warranted” after another poor performance against South Africa. The home side were skittled for 85, thanks mainly to Vernon Philander’s 5-21, before South Africa's batsmen combined to give the tourists an 86-run lead by stumps on a dramatic opening day to the second cricket Test in Hobart. Australia have lost four consecutive Tests, including a 3-0 defeat in Sri Lanka, and coach Lehmann admitted that their batting was getting close to crisis point. “When you get bowled out for 85 it probably is, isn’t it?” said Lehmann. “When you’re playing badly, you’re going to cop it. There’s a lot of criticism out there that’s warranted.”
