Pickpockets made Dhs50k
Ajman Police have arrested two men who are accused of making more than Dhs50,000 from pickpocketing. One of the two men, both from an unnamed African country, would spit on the victim, seemingly by accident, and then make a fuss of trying to help the victim clean it off. The second would steal wallets and cash while they were distracted. Colonel Abduallah Al Matroushi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Ajman Police, said: “Police identified the suspects and their location and caught the two suspects in the act as they tried to steal from a new victim.” They were found with Dhs56,000. Police urged the public to be wary of men hanging around cash machines.
