Reader fum­ing at be­ing over­charged at shisha cafe

So last night we had a shisha and cof­fee at a restau­rant, when the bill came it was in­cor­rect as they charged us for items we did not con­sume. When I pointed it out, the chap “pre­tends” to cor­rect it but is still look­ing to over­charge me. It was only when I threat­ened to ex­pose them and com­plain to the au­thor­i­ties that he wants to bury the is­sue and lets me pay the cor­rect amount. I guess Caveat Emp­tor ap­plies where the onus is on the con­sumer and there is no honor sys­tem. Nick UAE
