Dubai In­ter­na­tional Air­port has been voted the world’s Best Air­port for Lay­overs for the second year in a row. The award was handed out at the Conde Nast Trav­eller Read­ers’ Choice Awards Mid­dle East cer­e­mony in Dubai on Mon­day. Dubai was one of three fi­nal­ists in the cat­e­gory cho­sen by read­ers of the lux­ury travel pub­li­ca­tion. The other two were Doha’s Ha­mad In­ter­na­tional Air­port and Sin­ga­pore’s Changi In­ter­na­tional Air­port. Anita Mehra, Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent, Com­mu­ni­ca­tion & Rep­u­ta­tion, at Dubai Air­ports, said: “This recog­ni­tion means a lot to ev­ery­one at Dubai Air­ports and all our stake­hold­ers at DXB who work very hard to­gether to en­sure the com­fort and hap­pi­ness of our cus­tomers.” The air­port was short­listed for its roundthe-clock avail­abil­ity of a range of food and bev­er­age op­tions, its va­ri­ety of re­tail brands, its ho­tels and re­lax­ation con­cepts such as spa treat­ments and sleep­ing pods.
