AL AIN MUST CLAW BACK DEFICIT IN AFC FINAL
The AFC Champions League final is evenly poised after Korea’s Jeonbuk Motors came back to win 2-1 against UAE side Al Ain and ensure the second leg of the final at the Hazza bin Zayed stadium on November 26 will be an interesting one. Al Ain took the lead when Colombian Danilo Asprilla opened the scoring in the second half but Jeonbuk’s Brazilian winger Leonardo’s brace denied the ‘Boss’ an easy path to their second ACL title. Al Ain coach Zlatko Dalic was happy with the away goal, but not his team’s performance on the day. “I am not satisfied with the result but I am happy with the way we played,” he said. “Jeonbuk is a strong team but we can win at home.” Both teams matched each other in most aspects of the game but Al Ain will have work to do if they wish to land the newly-increased $3 million prize money for the winners.
