Alonso fu­els ru­mours of Porsche move in 2018

Fernando Alonso has hinted that he could join Porsche’s World En­durance Team when he brings his For­mula One ca­reer to an end. The 35-year-old Spa­niard has just one more year re­main­ing on his con­tract with McLaren who have once again en­dured a frus­trat­ing year. Now ex­pec­ta­tions the twotime world cham­pion could re­peat Mark Web­ber’s move from F1 to Porsche after com­ments made by Alonso pay­ing trib­ute to the Aus­tralian driver. “You’ve had a fan­tas­tic ca­reer and now all your suc­cess with Porsche,” said Alonso. “You didn’t wait for me there which could have been nice. “But I think you will still be around and I will ask you many things when I join your ad­ven­ture.” Web­ber has now re­tired from pro­fes­sional mo­tor rac­ing after driv­ing for the last time in Bahrain last week­end.
