Long, hot sum­mer days are here again, and Dubai will never be short of fun sum­mer ac­tiv­i­ties for our younger guests to en­joy. At At­lantis Kids Club, we en­cour­age your chil­dren to be cre­ative, imag­i­na­tive and most im­por­tantly to have fun and make friends. Man­ager Lyud­mila Kim and her Guest Ac­tiv­i­ties team are sure to keep you and your chil­dren smil­ing all sum­mer long.

Can you share with the read­ers some fun facts about the Guest Ac­tiv­i­ties team?

We have a highly ver­sa­tile team of 33 in­di­vid­u­als that are ac­tive, cre­ative, dy­namic, and full of fun! Each mem­ber of the Guest Ac­tiv­i­ties team is fully trained in Pe­di­atric First Aid for Care­givers and Teach­ers to en­sure a safe, yet en­joy­able ex­pe­ri­ence for all chil­dren.

With the sum­mer of­fi­cially here, At­lantis Kids Club hosts its yearly Sum­mer Camps. Could you ex­plain to the read­ers what makes our Sum­mer Camps spe­cial?

There are many fun fea­tures that make the At­lantis Sum­mer Camps stand out as a must-do for chil­dren and teens. For starters, there are five dif­fer­ent pro­grammes that will be of­fered from 1 July un­til 30 Au­gust, mak­ing sure there is al­ways some­thing for ev­ery­one. Some of these pro­grammes in­clude fas­ci­nat­ing dol­phin ex­pe­ri­ences, go­ing on a Shark Sa­fari, cook­ing in our world-renowned restau­rants and get­ting of­fi­cially cer­ti­fied with the PADI Seal Team pro­gramme. A range of pro­grammes are of­fered for dif­fer­ent age groups be­tween 3 and 15 years old, giv­ing chil­dren the chance to make friends from around the world and hang out with the coolest crew in town! Our sum­mer camps are set up pri­mar­ily with campers aged 3-15 in mind. Our team is al­ways able to help make rec­om­men­da­tions for the per­fect pro­gramme based on your child’s in­ter­ests.

Al­low me to break it down a lit­tle fur­ther:

Sum­mer Ad­ven­tur­ers

This is one of our new pro­grammes and is open for ad­ven­ture seek­ers aged 3-7. There will be a dif­fer­ent ad­ven­ture each day, in­clud­ing trea­sure hunts, ob­sta­cle cour­ses, arts & crafts and even trans­form­ing into a su­per­hero or mad sci­en­tist.

Young Ath­letes

This is the per­fect sum­mer camp for lit­tle ath­letes that en­joy sports. Di­vided into two age groups: 3-7 years old and 8-12 years old, campers will en­joy a va­ri­ety of sport ac­tiv­i­ties, ex­plore the thrills of Aqua­ven­ture Water­park and dis­cover the Myth of At­lantis.

Teen Xtreme

An awe­some sum­mer pro­gramme for teens only! They will par­tic­i­pate in ex­treme fit­ness chal­lenges and build up the courage to take on Po­sei­don’s Re­venge. Open for teens aged 13-15.

Ju­nior Mas­terChef

For the food lovers, this is a de­li­cious jour­ney through the culi­nary world of At­lantis. Chi­dren aged 8-12 will be guided by some of our very own chefs to learn all about sushi mak­ing, cup­cake dec­o­ra­tion, cre­at­ing mouth­wa­ter­ing piz­zas and much more.


This camp takes chil­dren aged 8-15 be­hind the scenes and into an amaz­ing world of wa­ter! They will learn to scuba dive with the PADI Seal Team, snorkel in the Am­bas­sador La­goon and get to meet and play with our dol­phins.

What’s new for chil­dren to look for­ward to dur­ing this year’s Sum­mer Camps?

I am re­ally ex­cited to have launched two new camps: the Sum­mer Ad­ven­tur­ers and Young Ath­letes. This year fo­cuses on Well­ness, so we have in­cluded a lot of ac­tiv­i­ties and sports such as taek­wondo, fit­ness cir­cuits at the Shuiqi Fit­ness Cen­tre, yoga, bas­ket­ball, vol­ley­ball, bad­minton, mind­ful­ness, na­ture walks, re­cy­cling projects, na­ture arts & crafts and more. Fo­cus­ing on Well­ness has also in­spired a new food menu, which in­cludes health­ier op­tions to make sure our campers stay in shape and get the nu­tri­tion they need to keep up with their ac­tive sum­mer pro­grammes.

Can you tell the read­ers a lit­tle bit more about what the team does to keep up with all the high-en­ergy ac­tiv­i­ties that you will be of­fer­ing this sum­mer?

The num­ber one tip is to stay hy­drated and eat healthy. With so many ac­tiv­i­ties tak­ing place, our team also needs to make sure they con­sume the right foods, high in nu­tri­ents, so they can keep up with our campers and en­sure lots of en­ergy-filled fun. Ad­di­tion­ally, we care­fully plan the struc­ture of our pro­grammes so each team mem­ber has a per­fect bal­ance be­tween in­door and out­door ac­tiv­i­ties.

All in all, work­ing with chil­dren and teens is our pas­sion and it gives us just the right ‘charge’ to keep go­ing. We help them have fun, stay cool and en­sure every camper has an amaz­ing sum­mer ahead.
