Pay to access Emirates’ Dubai lounges

EMIRATES’ SKYWARDS BLUE MEMBERS can now pay to access the airline’s Dubai lounges. First class is priced $200 and access to the Business Class and Emirates Lounge are both priced $100 (business class passengers can pay $100 to upgrade to the first class lounge). Passengers can stay in the lounges for up to four hours. Blue members can pay to bring in a companion but if flying on an airline other than Emirates, or on Emirates Codeshare flights operated by any carrier other than Qantas, companions are not eligible. Platinum, Gold and Silver members can also pay for additional lounge access.

Paid lounge access for under 12s is charged at half the adult rate while under twos are free. Asked if the lounges could accommodate paying guests at peak hours, an airline spokesperson said: “Lounge staff have the discretion to turn back passengers, who cannot automatically enter the lounges, if the lounges have reached their full capacity.”
