new Port Cochere, mar­ble en­trance and abstract wall sculp­tures – and now at­ten­tion turns to the main lobby, whose ceil­ing and ar­chi­tec­tural col­umns will be up­graded to a white fin­ish for a more modern look. Work is sched­uled to fin­ish by the end of 2017.

The lay­out cre­ates a fluid space with pock­ets of seat­ing, sep­a­rated by low shelv­ing units to cre­ate zones while main­tain­ing a con­nec­tion to the rest of the lobby. The am­bi­ence will be en­hanced by warm-coloured floor lamps and dis­play lights and large cir­cu­lar dis­play shelf cen­tre­piece which wraps around the core.

The Café serv­ing the lobby has been up­dated with new fur­ni­ture and coun­ters and a tim­ber floor out­lines the café zone from the rest of the lobby area, with a large pot­ted tree in­tro­duc­ing some green­ery. The seat­ing com­prises a se­lec­tion of ca­sual chairs and in ad­di­tion in­cludes high com­mu­nal ta­bles, as well as
