Gulf Air’s first Dream­liner takes off

GULF AIR HAS RE­CEIVED its first Boe­ing 787-9 Dream­liner, con­ducted a fly past at the Bahrain Grand Prix in the air­line’s new livery and dis­played its busi­ness class seat at ATM Dubai.

The new air­craft, con­tain­ing 26 Fal­con Gold Class seats and 256 econ­omy seats, will serve dou­ble-daily Lon­don Heathrow ser­vices from June 15. Five B787-9s are due to be de­liv­ered this year, which will be fol­lowed by two at the end of 2019 and three by the end of 2020. New des­ti­na­tions this sum­mer in­clude: • Bangalore (May 1) • Alexan­dria ( June 10) • Casablanca ( June 11) • Baku ( June 12) • Abha and Tabuk ( June 15) • Cali­cut ( June 15) • Sharm El Sheikh ( June 16)
