Centara Hotels & Resorts is busy developing Cosi, an affordable lifestyle brand which targets ‘tech-savvy travellers’. Details of its third project, the 142-room Cosi Krabi Ao Nang Beach, follows on from its first property on Samui Island and ground-breaking of its second hotel in Pattaya.

In place of the typical lobby counter are self-serve kiosks that speed up check-in and check-out while the Hub serves as a 24/7 social and media café where guests can grab a sip or a bite and connect with friends. Guests receive daily credits to use for food and drink any time at the WYSIWYG Café and can connect their phones to the 43-inch SmartTV. The new Krabi hotel, due to open in 2020, will have five USB ports per room.

Alongside its Thai expansion, Centara will be enhancing its Gulf profile when its 600-room, four-star resort is scheduled to open on Deira Islands Dubai in 2020. The largest category will be Ocean View Deluxe (146 keys) and there will be 17 Family Rooms and six one-bedroom suites. Plentiful F&B will include a 520sqm Signature Rooftop restaurant, three main restaurants, beach bar & restaurant and lobby café.
