Ooredoo kicks off global ad campaign,
Qatari telco Ooredoo has launched a global communication campaign with French football club Paris Saint-Germain.
It is the largest international media campaign a Paris Saint-Germain partner has ever executed, with the company looking to generate global recognition for both brands.
Called ‘Fans Do Wonders’, the campaign is the work of M&C Saatchi and features five of the club’s most recognisable players – forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, defenders Thiago Silva and David Luiz, and midfielders Blaise Matuidi and Lucas Moura. Fans can take part in the interactive campaign by sending messages directly to the players via a dedicated microsite or via Twitter.
Nasser Marafih, group CEO of Ooredoo, said: “This campaign will be one of our most significant global initiatives to date, as we reach out to young fans around the world. Paris Saint-Germain are one of the top teams of the moment, and working with them gives Ooredoo the chance to share our message of enriching people’s lives through technology. We are working to support our customers’ digital lifestyles across our footprint, and this campaign is an excellent platform to showcase our bigger, faster networks.”
Ooredoo began its partnership with Paris Saint-Germain in September 2013.
