Im­pact BBDO goes ex­is­ten­s­tial in this new ad for Cen­tre­point’s up­com­ing sale. Shot in black and white, the eerie one-minute film shows a young man driv­ing a smart vin­tage car as a woman stares out at the bar­ren land­scape from the back seat. Mis­ery af­ter mis­ery blights the young cou­ple and the film fi­nally cul­mi­nates with their car break­ing down on a rail­way track. The con­cept comes from the in­sight that life has a mind of its own; and when it makes its plans to ruin your day, there is only one thing that you can do: look good.
