CLARKSON DRIVES EMIRATES CAMPAIGN
Top Gear star fronts lighthearted first-class spot.
Emirates’ campaign for the airline’s first-class private suites is fronted by TV celebrity and motoring expert Jeremy Clarkson. The spot begins with close-up shots of a leather seat, a flat screen and control buttons. Clarkson narrates the features in a way that leads the viewer to assume he is referring to a car. He delivers the punchline as an aircraft zooms overhead, revealing that the vehicle he is talking about has a top speed of 700 miles per hour. The ad was scripted in-house, and shot by award-winning director Vaughan Arnell, who also collaborated on Emirates’ recent “World of good times” campaign.
