Launched ear­lier this month, Al Ain Plus Vi­ta­min D aims to ad­dress Vi­ta­min D de­fi­ciency in the UAE.

“Al Ain Vi­ta­min D has been de­vel­oped through con­sumer in­sights and talk­ing to the reg­u­la­tory health au­thor­i­ties be­cause 80% of the peo­ple in the UAE suf­fer from Vi­ta­min D de­fi­ciency.

“We try to find prod­ucts that are whole­some for a whole­hearted liv­ing and bring such rel­e­vant prod­ucts to the mar­ket place.

“Ev­ery­one from small kids to adults need Vi­ta­min D, it’s not a so­lu­tion but a sup­ple­ment and it com­pli­ments ex­ist­ing medi­car­tion and adds the hy­dra­tion as­pect as well. Al Ain Vi­ta­min D is the first wa­ter in the world which does not have any flavour or colour and is dosed with a rel­e­vant amount of Vi­ta­min D, 50 units in the 500 ml and 30 units in the 330 ml,” Beg ex­plained.

2018 is ex­pected to be busy with sev­eral ex­pan­sion plans in the pipe­line, ac­cord­ing to the ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent.

“We al­ready have sev­eral plans in place, wa­ter is a core cat­e­gory in it. We have started pro­duc­tion of Al Ain wa­ter in Kuwait and last year we ac­quired the Al Ain brand in Saudi Ara­bia so that fac­tory is ex­pand­ing too. There are mas­sive ex­pan­sion plans for Saudi Ara­bia, Egypt and Turkey as we ex­pand be­yond the UAE.

“Our mar­ket share right now is close to 30% if you ag­gre­gate all our wa­ter prod­ucts to­gether so we are the lead­ing wa­ter in the mar­ket and will con­tinue to en­hance that. Across all the dif­fer­ent cat­e­gories we rep­re­sent, we have very high con­fi­dence for 2018 and will con­tinue to grow and de­liver for our share­hold­ers,” Beg con­cluded.
