Sedar Global to ex­pand in the MENA re­gion with four new stores

Sedar Global marks its mile­stone 125 years of busi­ness with four new branch lo­ca­tions be­fore the close of June 2018. Spe­cial­is­ing in home decor since 1892, Sedar re­mains fam­ily owned and in­cludes fac­to­ries across, the globe, de­sign hub in the city of Como in north­ern Italy and over 20 branches across; Bahrain (Man­ama), Oman (Mus­cat), UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Shar­jah, Al Ain), Qatar (Doha), KSA (Dam­mam, Jed­dah, Al Khobar, Mad­ina, Riyadh), Egypt (Cairo), Iraq (Er­bil), and Kuwait (Shuwaikh). With ex­pan­sion lo­ca­tions for 2018 al­ready con­firmed across Bagh­dad - Iraq, Khar­toum - Su­dan, Al­giers – Al­ge­ria and Casablanca - Morocco.

A strate­gic move, of the ex­pan­sion into these mar­kets cre­ative di­rec­tor, Na­hel Selo com­mented: “Our plans to fan out across the MENA re­gion are pri­mar­ily due to the grow­ing de­mand for in­te­rior con­tract­ing and fit-out busi­ness across these re­gions, most of these mar­kets have a lot of pur­chas­ing power, but not enough va­ri­ety to choose from.”

Selo added: “At present most of our sales are B2B (55%) and B2C (45%), with a de­mand not only from con­sumers but also busi­ness and gov­ern­ment en­ti­ties. For fu­ture re­gions, we an­tic­i­pate a con­sis­tent ra­tio in de­mand across these sec­tors and by the end of 2018, we plan on ex­plor­ing fur­ther op­por­tu­ni­ties and ex­pand­ing to Su­dan, Al­ge­ria, Bul­garia and Canada.”

Count­ing roy­alty, air­lines and ho­tels among its cus­tomers, Sedar in­te­ri­ors can now be found in over two mil­lion homes, busi­nesses and gov­ern­ment in­sti­tu­tions world­wide. Com­pleted projects in­clude Al Mak­toum In­ter­na­tional Air­port - Dubai, Da­mac Prop­er­ties - Dubai, Burj Al Arab - Dubai, King Khalid In­ter­na­tional Air­port – Riyadh, Saudi Aramco Riyadh, Mo­bily - King­dom World­wide Saudi Ara­bia, King Ha­mad Hos­pi­tal - Man­ama, Na­tional Bank of Oman – Salalah, and many more.

To cater to de­mands Sedar have in­creased the work­force to over 3,500 staff world­wide
