Never boil your egg from cold. Some peo­ple do, I don’t. The egg must be room tem­per­a­ture. If you take your egg straight from the fridge and boil it, the shell will crack, the white will leak out, and wa­ter will get in­side the egg.

One egg Baguette

Method

Bring a pan of wa­ter to boil – look for the bub­bles. Boil the egg for four min­utes. I want my yolk runny and the white to be hard. For the sol­diers, we use a nor­mal baguette that we bake. We cut it into strips, and driz­zle olive oil on top. Grill it, ip it, grill again.
