The lastest run way trends to covet
This season saw runways alight with hues of chartreuse, magenta and candy pink. It wasn’t just the clothing that came in an array of technicolour tones. The hairstyles were equally chromatic. At Marc Jacobs, nine brave models volunteered to have their hair chopped and dyed for the show. Inspired by the classic sixties Vidal Sassoon aesthetic, Redken global creative director Guido Palau and colourist Josh Wood created geometric hairstyles for the girls in punky shades as an homage to eighties nightlife. Meanwhile over at Jeremy Scott, hairstylist Eugene Souleiman brought The Fifth Element onto the catwalk. Models donned Leeloo-esque, micro-fringed wigs in the ultimate nod to the cult classic film. It’s been over 20 years since the release of Luc Besson’s must-see movie but the sci-fi look feels more relevant than ever in our iPhone-driven world.
