ESCAPE, UNWIND AND INDULGE IN SOME SERIOUS WANDERLUST.

Welcome to The Summer Escape Issue. This issue, Emirates Woman invites you to escape, unwind and indulge in some serious wanderlust. Whether you’re planning a staycation, prepping your summer beauty regime or investing in the latest resort wear collections, we’ve collated the best edits to transport you beachside and beyond…

I’m exceptionally proud to say we’ve partnered with Farfetch for this cover, featuring Rania Fawaz in our cover shoot Harbour Island on page 14.

Thinking globally and supporting locally has always been the vision I have held for Emirates Woman and this perfectly aligns with Farfetch’s strategy to support their global network of local boutiques, ensuring success even in challenging times. Stephanie Phair, Farfetch’s Chief Customer Officer, speaks eloquently about this in Strategy & Style on page 26 and we find out what it takes to dedicate yourself to building a real brand as an influencer in Real Rania on page 28.

Also featured are exclusive interviews with master milliner Ruslan Baginskiy on page 36, Greenpacha on page 42 the brand weaving their own kind of sustainable magic into beachside-appropriate hats and Lisa Marie Fernandez on page 56 – the pioneering lifestyle and resort wear brand we’ve come to know as a summer go-to. We select the hottest resort wear in La Isla Bonita on page 32, and focus on summer’s coolest accessories in The Gladiator on page 40 and Shade on page 38. Travel wise we cast a spotlight on the evolutions of luxury luggage brand Rimowa on page 82, show you how to pack a suitcase like a professional on page 90 and deliver a masterclass in SPF on page 70 to ensure you have the perfect tan on page 72 this summer. We’ve also compiled the best UAE staycations if you fancy a change of scene without going too far afield on page 98.

We dedicate this issue to one of the founding Emirates Women; Lady Audrey Flanagan, wife of the late Sir Maurice Flanagan founding CEO of Emirates. Demonstrating great strength all the while maintaining a softness that allows for a considerable legacy of close, loving family and friends – Emirates Woman will continue to feature incredible women who successfully strike this balance with such grace.
