We’ve been desperate to experience the MusicHall ever since we heard the iconic Beiruti cabaret-style theatre brand had opened up in Dubai, and its magical majlis setting over Ramadan provides the perfect opportunity. Following in the centuries-old tradition of Masrah Ramadan – the one place in the city where all citizens could gather to listen to traditional songs during Ramadan – there’s a steady stream of authentic Arabic acts, plus delicious mezze and other traditional delicacies. Located at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, the venue e is open every night during Ramadan for suhour from 9pm until 2am, minimum spend is Dh115. Call 056 270 8670 or 04 447 6646.
