Milk pudding with rose water

Ingredients 1 cup rice
2 cups water
3 cups whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 tbsp cornflour, dissolved in 3 tbsp warm milk
2 tbsp rose water
1. In a large, heavy-bottomed pan, cook rice in water over a high heat for 20 minutes or until tender. Add milk and sugar, turn heat down to low and simmer, stirring occasionally.
2. Simmer for 45 minutes or until creamy. Add cornflour solution and mix thoroughly.
3. Add rose water and bring to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat, leave to thicken for 5 minutes, then spoon into bowls. Serve hot or cold.
