When some­one tells you not to worry, it’s still dif­fi­cult not to. In­stead, make a con­scious ef­fort to fol­low where your wor­ried thoughts lead – of­ten to the un­re­al­is­tic worst-case sce­nario. Re­solve ei­ther to let what­ever it is that’s gnaw­ing away at you off the hook be­cause the worst your mind can cre­ate prob­a­bly won’t hap­pen or worry de­lib­er­ately and fe­ro­ciously for the next 10 min­utes to get it off your chest or mind, and then let it go.
